Like our pizzas, Italian style gelato & sorbets are made with the freshest ingredients possible. Those strawberries in the strawberry-banana gelato could very well have been ripening in the field only days earlier. In addition our gelato contains less fat than ice cream so it doesn't coat your mouth in the same way, allowing for more intense flavors. Gelato is also churned at a slower speed than ice cream providing a more dense and flavorful product. Some ice cream contains up to 50% air while gelato contains about half that. Gelato & Sorbets are also served at a slightly higher temperature than ice cream. You may have noticed this same effect with beer & wine. Beer & wine served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cold out of the refrigerator allows for more intense flavor.
